Receives “Corporate Social Responsibility Merit Award”

At the Celebration of the 40th Anniversary of the Reform and Opening-up of the Country Annual Charity Dinner on 29th October, FTLife was presented with “Corporate Social Responsibility Merit Award” in recognition of the company’s emphasis on succession, commitment to the community and culture of giving back to society. At the event, FTLife donated two library rooms to The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong with the purpose of providing students with an environment conducive to study and research. Further, FTLife Chairman Fang Lin, joined by Chief Secretary Matthew Cheung and Under Secretary for Education Choi Yuk Lin, witnessed ten chairpersons of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao-Bay Area Economic and Trade Association donating HK$10 million worth of insurance policies, including FTLife’s Regent Insurance Plan 2, to The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong and charities.

Send Blessings to Kids

FTLife supported S.K.H. St. Christopher’s Home through the “Send Christmas Blessings to Kids” project in which healthy food was given so that children can have a caring environment to grow, develop potentials and lead fulfilling lives. The Home is the largest non-governmental organisation in Hong Kong providing small group home service for children who cannot receive adequate family care. The services include residential child care service (small group home and foster care service), pre-primary education service (nursery), children health development service, service for new arrivals and low-income families, clinical psychological service and social enterprise.

A Platinum Awardee in the Charter on External Lighting from Environment Bureau

The Environment Bureau launched The Charter on External Lighting in 2016. FTLife was presented with a Platinum Award every year for compiling with the switch-off requirement.

FTLife pledges to switch off external lighting installations with decorative, promotional or advertising purposes that affect the outdoor environment from 11 pm to 7 am, including the large signage situated on the rooftop of Far East Finance Centre and at the ventilation buildings of the Cross-Harbour Tunnel, to minimise energy wastage and light nuisance, and to provide residents with a better environment conducive to sleep.

FTLife had been identified as a caring company every year by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service since the inception of the caring company scheme in 2002.
